Alignment| Dark, Strictly because that is were his friends loyalties lie...
Loyalty| Sephiroth, Genesis... and Zack...
Personality| Angeal is best defined as the ideal Hero. He has Honor, Valor, and Courage the things required to be considered a Hero. His only flaw however is his strong beleif in honor. He beleives in honoring his friends over SOLDIER and this leads him to desert them.
Angeal is also almost always a stoic person. Keeping his emotions and thoughts to himself. However this does not keep him from joking as he often has told Zack meaningless stories or called him "puppy" only to laugh at him later. Angeal's attitude towards his friends is serious and he would rather fight an army than betray his friends.
Appearance| Angeal is tall and muscular, proven through his ability to weild the buster sword one handed and being adept in hand to hand combat. He wears garb simular to Zack's signaling that most of it is a uniform requirment for 2nd and 1st class SOLDIER member's. However none of the other 1st Class member's do this...
His attire starts with a deep blue undershirt. The undershirt itself looks much like a sweater. It is knitted well and has strips down it showing it's knitted design. The collar is tall and turtle neck like, but he folds it down to keep it out of his face. Unlike most sweater's though the sleeves have been lopped off to show his well built arms. On top of his sleeveless sweater he wears large black shoulder pads, held in place by dark leather suspender's that connect to a belt that is worn around the abs. The "ab belt" connect to the suspender's on the back as well creating a magnetic houlster for his large sword. On his hands he wears a simple pair of leather gloves. Upon his legs he wears a pair of black baggy pants that are supported by not one, but two belts. He tucks his pants neatly into his black leather boots which zip in the front and fold down at the top. The boot's themselves are simple in design having one simple stripe on the front of the toe area.
Angeal has a strong facial structure, and often carries a serious face. However he smiles more often than one would think. His eye's are a sky blue color as is customary for SOLDIER member's. His hair is parted down the middle and slicked down. The Black color matches not only his shoulder pads, but his gloves and boots as well.
History| Angeal was born in Banora Village to Gillian Hewley. Before his birth she was injected with Jenova cell's and used as a conduit for other test subject's, one of which was Angeal's lifelong best friend Genesis Rhapsodos. After Genesis was injected with the cells of Gillian and Jenova he was fostered to the weathiest family in Banora. Since Angeal was poor he often stole the towns fruit "dumbapples" from other's, and even though the wealties family was rumored to have the best "dumbapples" Angeal's honor as a friend kept him from stealing them. Regardless the two grew up together and eventually joined SOLDIER climbing the ranks to 1st Class and becoming quick friends with Sephiroth.
After Angeal had been a 1st Class member of SOLDIER for a few years he took up mentoring the lower ranked member's taking a particular liking to Zack Fair. He mentored the young man through the ranks of SOLDIER and even asked for him to be promoted to SOLDIER 1st Class. When Zack heard of this he... well he hugged the stoic Angeal and Angeal responded with a "Don't make me regret it..." Upon heading out for there next mission Angeal tells the story of how he was poor and would often steal the town's dumbapples. He never stole from the richest because his friend lived there and he had his honor. Of course Zack asked why he told him that story and Angeal told him that "No story was not worth listening to..." Then proceded ahead laughing. The two met up again infront of their target location and upon the signal, (an distracting explosion) Zack headed in. Angeal instead went around to be sure that no one returned to the location while Zack handled the creature's with in. Angeal entered the building to find Zack on the floor and quickly deflected the monster's attack and killed the beast. Zack appologized for him having to use his sword and Angeal replied with, "Your more important than this... But only a little..." The two left and headed for a helicopter. They met Lazard on the way, but were interupted by an attack from strange soldiers. Angeal stayed behind to attack the men and defeated them easily only to find Genesis afterwards. The old friend told him about who he truely was, and that he was a monster. Angeal felt that his staying in SOLDIER would be a betrayle of SOLDIER honor, and decided to join Genesis instead.
Angeal and Genesis made their way to Banora Village, their hometown, and hid there while Genesis began creating clones of himself. SOLDIER sent multiple agents to see if they were there but the duo slew them and Angeal created for them a grave to show his respect. Genesis slew his parents to keep himself hidden and suggested that Angeal do so also, but Angeal couldn't bring himself to do it. Zack arrives at the Banora apple factory to find Genesis and readied himself to fight. However Angeal takes Zacks blade and points it at Genesis saying that he respected his friends wishes and Genesis responds with can you really live in that world before walking out. Angeal slams Zacks blade into the floor and walks out to his own home. He finds that his mother had taken her own life. He drew the buster sword in disbeleif and stared at it as Zack entered the room and assumed that Angeal had slain his mother. He slammed the stunned Angeal around the room before throwing him outside with a hefty punch. Angeal said that she did not deserve to live and neither did he. He walked out into the village as Genesis started a conversation with the angery Zack.
